The KITE study is testing an experimental medicine for the first time in patients with pulmonary sarcoidosis. The study goal is to evaluate this medicine in the reduction of inflammation, slowing of disease progress, and to assess its safety.
You may be eligible to participate if:
- You are more than 18 years old
- You have sarcoidosis in your lungs
- You are not currently under treatment
- Your doctor considers that you may soon but not immediately require treatment (e.g. corticosteroids)
Clinical research studies involve observing the patients who have volunteered to participate for a period of time in order to test the effectiveness of the drug as well as to monitor any side effects.
